What is TRUalert?
TruAlert is a personal safety app that connects users to Noonlight’s 24/7 certified emergency dispatchers. With one tap, users can discreetly request help via SMS or phone call, without needing to speak to 911 directly. It’s an affordable and reliable solution designed to bring peace of mind wherever you go.
How does TRUalert work?
When you press the Emergency Button in the TruAlert app, you’ll receive a notification prompting you to expect an SMS from our emergency response partner, Noonlight. From there, all communication happens via SMS or call. Noonlight evaluates your situation and dispatches appropriate help—whether it’s emergency services or a safety check—based on your needs.
Who should use TRUalert?
TruAlert is ideal for anyone seeking a discreet, reliable safety tool—night shift workers, students, seniors, travelers, runners, or anyone living alone. It’s especially helpful in situations where direct 911 calls may be unsafe, impractical, or too overwhelming to make in the moment.
What is the Emergency Button, and how does it work?
The Emergency Button in the TruAlert app connects you to Noonlight’s certified dispatchers. When pressed, you’ll receive a prompt to expect an SMS. From there, all communication happens via text or call, allowing Noonlight to coordinate the appropriate emergency response based on your situation—even if you can’t speak.
What is Safety Pulse?
Safety Pulse is a community-powered feature within TruAlert that allows users to share and view real-time safety updates, suspicious activity, or public concerns in their area. It’s an easy way to stay informed and help protect your local community.
Can I view a history of my past emergency requests?
Yes. TruAlert includes an Account History section where you can review all your past emergency activations and any follow-up details provided after each incident. This is useful for peace of mind, record-keeping, or further action with authorities if needed.
How does TruAlert ensure the safety of its users?
TruAlert works with Noonlight, a trusted emergency response partner staffed by trained dispatchers who assess every situation and coordinate the right help. By removing location tracking and simplifying the workflow to SMS and calls, TruAlert offers discreet, private, and effective emergency support at your fingertips.
How much does TRUalert cost?
TruAlert offers two affordable subscription options:
- $9.99/month
$99.90/year (save two months)
Each plan includes up to three emergency alert activations per year and covers up to two additional household users at no extra cost.
Are there additional costs for emergency responses?
Your subscription includes three emergency alert responses per year. If you need more, you can purchase additional alert credits directly in the app—no hidden fees, just clear and simple pricing.
What if I need more than three emergency responses per year?
If your included alerts run out, you’ll have the option to buy more through the app. We make it easy to stay protected without unexpected charges.
Do unused ALERT responses roll over?
Yes. Any unused alert responses will roll over to the next subscription year if you maintain an active annual plan.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings in the app or on our website. Your access remains active until the end of your billing cycle, and you won’t be charged again unless you renew.
How is billing managed for household members?
Your annual subscription includes access for up to two additional users—ideal for family members or close loved ones. Each person will need their own account, but billing is centralized under the main subscriber.
How are security personnel chosen and vetted?
TruAlert partners with Noonlight, a trusted emergency response platform. Their certified dispatchers undergo extensive background checks, professional training, and operate under strict compliance protocols to ensure safe, effective support during emergencies.
How does TruAlert connect users with emergency responders?
When you press the emergency button in the app, you’ll receive a notification to expect a text message from Noonlight. From there, all communication happens via SMS and phone calls, where trained dispatchers assess the situation and coordinate the appropriate response—whether it’s police, fire, or medical services.
Can I see who is responding to my emergency?
While you won’t see a responder profile like in the previous version of the app, you’ll stay connected through real-time texts and calls from Noonlight dispatchers, who will guide you and keep you informed every step of the way.
Are responders available 24/7?
Yes. Noonlight’s dispatch network is active 24/7, ensuring help is available at any time—day or night—wherever you are in the U.S.
Does TRUalert track my location continuously?
No. TruAlert only accesses your location when you activate an emergency request. Real-time location is securely shared with Noonlight’s dispatchers to help coordinate emergency services quickly and accurately.
How does TRUalert protect my privacy?
Your privacy and security are top priorities. We only collect basic account information (like email and phone number) and use your location only during emergencies. Your data is encrypted and never sold or shared without your explicit permission. You can manage your privacy settings in the app anytime.
Can I opt out of data collection or location tracking?
Yes, you can adjust your location and data-sharing settings in the app. However, disabling location access will limit TruAlert’s ability to function during emergencies, including accurate dispatch coordination by Noonlight.
Are incident logs shared with third parties?
No. Incident logs are private and viewable only by you. TruAlert or Noonlight will only share information with third parties (e.g., emergency services or insurance) if legally required or with your consent.
How do I get started with TRUalert?
Download the TruAlert app from the App Store or Google Play. Once installed, follow these quick steps:

What should I do if my emergency request doesn’t go through?
If your emergency request doesn’t send:
Check that your phone has an active internet or cellular connection
Try restarting the app and pressing the emergency button again
If the issue persists, contact our support team via the Help section in the app or email [email protected]
How do I update my account information?
You can update your personal info, subscription, or settings anytime by going to the Account Settings section within the app. All changes are saved automatically.
Can I use TRUalert without a smartphone?
TruAlert requires a smartphone to fully function—especially for location tracking, real-time SMS support, and alert coordination. However, household members can still be covered under your plan using their own or a shared smart device.
Who can I contact for additional support?
For assistance or questions, contact our support team anytime through the app’s Help section or email [email protected]. We’re here to help you stay protected.
